Etibar Elchiyev 50 Metal Spoons---Georgian Etibar Elchyev, a
39-year-old kick-boxing trainer, demonstrates his magnetic ability as he
poses with 50 metal spoons magnetized to his body during an attempt to
break the Guinness World Record for Most Spoons on a Human Body in
Tbilisi, Georgia, Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011.
Etibar has made this year’s share of new weird record holders by managing to secure 50 metal spoons around his neck and chest setting the world record for the Most spoons balanced on a human body.
Etibar Elchiyev claims that his body acts as a magnet attracting metal objects. Etibar Elchyev, a 39-year-old kick-boxing trainer, had originally planned to break the Guinness World Record for balancing spoons on one’s face – with 27 the current target to beat.
The Guinness world record for the most spoons balanced on the face is 17 and was achieved by Aaron Caissie (Canada) on the set of Lo Show dei Record, in Milan, Italy on 18 April 2009.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest spoons ensemble, which featured 1,352 participants led by Steve ‘Spoon Man’ Tankersley (all USA) playing along to ‘Ragtime Annie’, in Pekin, Indiana, USA.
Elchiyev discovered his talent of attracting metal to his body less than a year ago but has quickly taken to the world of magnetism.
Elchyev is a kick-boxing trainer and discovered the magnetic property of his body less than a year ago. He even magnetized a car hood to his body, with a man sitting on it.
However after a change of plan he decided to break the world record for balancing them on his body instead – managing to secure 50 around his neck and chest.
