Amy Winehouse Gravestone---Amy Winehouse were buried in a north London cemetery yesterday, more than a year after the singer died.

Around 70 of Winehouse’s friends and family gathered in the Jewish ceremony to watch her ashes being buried. A pink and black stone was erected in her remembrance, marked with an inscription and a picture of the singer,  according to The Sun.

During the brief ceremony, Amy's father Mitch said a few words about his daughter’s short but “dynamic” life. He was joined for the tribute by joined by Amy’s mother Janis and her goddaughter, singer Dionne Bromfield.


Winehouse died after an alcohol binge in July 2011, aged 27. After her death, Mitch Winehouse set up a foundation in her honour to provide support for "young people, especially those who are in need by reason of ill health, disability, financial disadvantage or addiction".

On September 14 this year, the Amy Winehouse Foundation marked its first anniversary on what would have been the singer’s 29th birthday today, revealing that more than £230,000 has already been raised and pledging to pull in £500,000 by the end of the year.
