Wisconsin Governor Walker Declares State Of Emergency---Governor Scott Walker declared a State of Emergency in response to the winter storm that could drop 12-18 inches of snow in parts of the News 8 viewing area.

The Executive Order will ready the Wisconsin Emergency Management, the Wisconsin National Guard, the State Patrol, and other Wisconsin state agencies.


"I issued this executive order to make sure Wisconsin is prepared for whatever this winter storm may bring," Governor Walker said in a statement. "Mobilizing our state agency resources during this storm will ensure we leave nothing to chance when it comes to protecting the citizens of Wisconsin."

Storm Team 8 Meteorologist Cory Malles expects the following snowfall totals:

4-8 inches around Eau Claire

5-10 inches across parts of Wabasha, Buffalo and Trempealeau Counties

10-15+ inches for La Crosse and the I-90 corridor

14-18+ inches for areas east and south of La Crosse
