Tyrone Coronation Street Domestic Abuse, Tyrone Coronation Street video exclusive---Coronation Street Alan Halsall found domestic abuse story: Coronation Street star Natalie Gumede has revealed that her soap character Kirsty Soames’ violent and manipulative behaviour is set to get worse. Kirsty has been making life hell for her boyfriend Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) in recent months, losing her temper and lashing out at him, but this week things come to a head when Tyrone decides that he can’t take it any more. Speaking to All About Soap magazine, Natalie explained:

“Up until this point it’s been a case of the red mist descending very suddenly and Kirsty has been shocked at herself, but now I feel the level of violence is stepping up. “She’s in a place where she knows it’s wrong, but she’s finding a way to justify it. Kirsty is scaring herself, even if she won’t admit it, but she allows her frustrations to get out of hand.”

Tyrone suggests to Kirsty that she should see the doctor to get some help for her anger issues, but when Tyrone finds out that she hasn’t been to her appointment, the pair end up having a blazing row and Kirsty falls over, banging her head off a plant pot.

Deirdre just happens to be walking past, and seeing how distressed Kirsty is, she becomes convinced that Tyrone is hitting her, but when Tyrone finds out that his girlfriend has let Deirdre believe that it’s him that has been violent, he is furious.

“Kirsty plays on it and knows exactly what she’s doing,” Natalie said. “She works the situation to her advantage in order to stop the truth coming out. “If that means Tyrone is the bad guy, then so be it. She wants to make Tyrone believe it’s entirely his fault!” Feeling guilty for everything she has done, Kirsty comes to a massive decision, but viewers will have to wait and see whether Tyrone will be left happy or broken-hearted.

Although Natalie feels sorry for Kirsty, she has admitted that she would never be friends with someone like her as she would find it too exhausting and dominating. She said: “I wouldn’t know what was going on behind closed doors, but if I knew anyone like that I would remove myself from the situation.”
