Cecil Chao Sze-tsung, who made his fortune in property and shipping, is offering $65 million to any man who agrees to marry his daughter, Gigi Chao, a 33-year-old gay woman.
Mr. Chao said he hopes to attract a generous, kind man for his daughter, who he said is a “good woman with both talents and looks.”
“I don’t mind whether he is rich or poor. The important thing is that he is generous and kind-hearted,” Cecil was quoted as saying by the Hong Kong daily.
Gigi revealed that she had married Sean Eav, her female partner, during a ceremony in France after seven years together. Her father, 76, says those reports are not correct.
Mr. Chao is not and never has been married, and at one time said he had been with more than 10,000 women to earn himself the “Playboy Tycoon” title.
