50 Cent Demands Condoms Backstage, Rapper 50 Cent obviously thinks he’s going to get lucky when he’s on tour, as he insists on having 50 condoms left in his dressing room. He also asks for a bucket of KFC chicken, super-expensive Cristal champagne and, er, macaroni cheese.

He must get hungry after all that exercise! Life has changed a lot for 50 Cent since the days when he had to watch his back on the mean streets of Queens.

These days it’s the 24 pieces of shrimp in his dressing room that keep the rapper on his toes.

Not once, but twice he offers up the handling reminder that “SHRIMP MUST BE KEPT ON ICE.” And good advice that is, since a gangsta can’t survive on herbal tea, Cristal, and condoms alone.

Madonna

Backstage at a 2004 concert in Ireland, former Material Girl gone religious (also known as "Esther") demanded 25 cases of high priced Kabbalah Water, a product of a controversial Los Angeles-based religious movement. Also, at a Wembley Stadium concert in England, she asked that the air conditioning be turned off despite 90-degree August heat. British Health and Safety begged to differ and the air conditioning stayed on.

Iggy Pop

Scottish promoters treated it as a joke, but punk rocker Iggy Pop asked for "seven dwarves dressed up as those dwarves out of that film about the dwarves. You know the one. Cinderella?"

Michael Bolton

For a 1996 concert, alleged soul singer Michael Bolton asked venue promoters for a local gospel choir that's "African American or ethnic/mixed."

Barry Manilow

Before he arrives at concert venue, Manilow asks that members of his fan club be allowed inside the venue on the morning of the concert to decorate his dressing room.

Gnarls Barkley

Hip hop artists Gnarls Barkley asked for over-sized Magnum condoms for one dressing room and tube socks for the other dressing room. Don't even attempt to draw conclusions for this one.

Jerry Lewis

Even Old School entertainers like Jerry Lewis have outrageous backstage demands of his concert venues, especially allowing no contact with local Muscular Dystrophy representatives and allowing no references to Muscular Dystrophy or the Telethon in the venue's concert promotional materials. The contract rider further states in bold letters that any such references "will result in the cancellation of the agreement between that particular venue and Jerry Lewis."
