Normal mole or skin cancer?, Do I have a normal mole or skin cancer?---How to Tell Normal Moles from Skin Cancer; The occurrence of skin cancer has grown rapidly over the last 50 years and is now the most prevalent form of cancer especially in Caucasians. If diagnosed early, skin cancer is usually treatable without any severe health risks, and that is why it is very important to examine yourself for early indicators of the disease.

The number of moles that you have is generally a good indicator of how high your risk of developing skin cancer is, the average person has between 15 and 20 moles in their adult life. People with a mole count higher than the average have a greater risk of developing skin cancer. A sudden or continuous growth, pain or itching, redness, swearing, bleeding, hardening, softening and an increase in elevation are all signs of melanoma.

Why Eyelid Twitches: Why Does My Eyelid Twitch After I Sneeze?---Eyelid from twitching and why does it twitch: Achoo! And here comes the eyelid twitch, right after the sneeze. Does this happen to you? Sometimes the eyelid twitch persists for a minute or so afterward. And other times, maybe there is only one twitch of the eyelid after a good sneeze.

An anecdotal answer to why this involuntary action can set off an eyelid twitch is that the act of sneezing is quite forceful on the body, jarring and jangling things up, and the tiny, minute muscles of the eyelid get caught up in the act.

However, I posed this question to Dr. Ravish Patwardhan, MD, a nationally-renowned neurosurgeon and founder of Comprehensive Neurosurgery Network LLC.

Toenails Turn Black: Why Are My Toenails Turning Black?---I do not have pretty toenails. Actually I have kind of black toenails. They are black and kind of knarly looking and do a poor job of bracketing my feet which also have seen better days: the ugly by-products of too many years spending too much time in military combat boots doing too much marching, running and walking I suppose.

It's a little late for me. It may not be too late for you. Especially if your toenails are turning black.

Fortunately, most toe problems you're going to get while running or hiking will be cosmetic rather than serious. The most frequent cause of black toenails -- which is so linked with running that the condition is also known as runner's toe. Black toenails or Runner's toe happens when the toenail is either pressed down too much on the bed that underlies it or the nail separates from the bed. In either case, blood pools between the nail and the bed. Eventually the nail turns black.
