Bengals Lose To 49ers In Super Bowl, Stanley Wilson lost out on super bowl due to overdose---Super Bowl was a game worthy of its name. Super Bowl XXIII began with hopes that it would not be another in a recent string of one-sided yawners dominated by the National Football Conference. It wound up being the most exciting Super Bowl ever, ending with the most memorable scoring drive this extravaganza had ever witnessed.

Such a game couldn't have come at a better time for the National Football League. While its title clash had been wallowing in mediocrity, both baseball and basketball could boast of a series of exciting championship events over the previous few years. But this time, the Super Bowl matched the competition with a flourish. And league executives could thank quarterback Joe Montana and the rest of his San Francisco 49er offensive teammates for that.

Hollywood Henderson Was High On Cocaine During Games---Thomas "Hollywood" Henderson (born March 1, 1953) is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League from 1975 through 1980.

Henderson was drafted in the first round of the 1975 NFL Draft, as part of the Dallas Cowboys Dirty Dozen draft. He made his mark on special teams during his first two years, becoming a starter at the strongside linebacker position in 1977 and by the end of the 1978 season he made his only Pro Bowl.

Lawrence Taylor, perhaps the greatest player ever at the position, said that he was inspired to wear 56 because it was Henderson’s number. Henderson gave himself the nickname "Hollywood" for his flamboyant play and high-visibility lifestyle.

1972 Super Bowl Miami Wins 17-0---Super Bowl VI was an American football game between the National Football Conference (NFC) champion Dallas Cowboys and the American Football Conference (AFC) champion Miami Dolphins to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion for the 1971 season.

The Cowboys defeated the Dolphins by the score of 24–3, to win their first Super Bowl. The game was played on January 16, 1972, at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana, the second time the Super Bowl was played in that city.

This was the Cowboys' second Super Bowl appearance, and entered the game with a reputation of not being able to win big playoff games such as Super Bowl V; and the 1966 and 1967 NFL Championship Games prior to the 1970 AFL-NFL Merger. They posted an 11-3 record during the 1971 regular season before defeating the Minnesota Vikings and the San Francisco 49ers in the playoffs.

Russian Family Unaware Of Second World War---Russian family lived in wilderness for 40 years and missed World War II: A family of religious refugees lived in the Siberian wilderness for 40 years completely cut off from civilization. According to an article published Monday in Smithsonian magazine, when archeologists found the Lykov family, they were on the verge of starvation and had no knowledge of major events of the last half century, including World War II.

The steep mountains and thick forests of Siberia make up the forbidding terrain known as the taiga. It is one of the most isolated and deserted places left on the planet, with winters that stretch from September to May.
