Shortest Spaceflight Mission Lasted 15 Minutes, 28 Seconds---First American in space, Alan shepard apollo 14 oldest person walk another world, The most spaceflights by an individual astronaut is seven, a record held by both Jerry L. Ross and Franklin Chang-Diaz, Shortest Spaceflight Mission Lasted 15 Minutes, 28 Seconds, Human spaceflight missions have now been performed by USSR/Russia, USA, China, and by Scaled Composites. Several other countries and agencies, including India, have announced human spaceflight programmes. India had planned its first mission in 2014-15; however, this is likely to be delayed for some time because of a series of unsuccessful tests of the crucial GSLV

On April 12, 1961, the world was stunned by the news that cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin of the USSR had become the first human to cross the threshold of the final frontier-Space. Gagarin’s Vostok 1 spacecraft blasted off from Baikonur Cosmodrome, successfully completed one orbit of the Earth and returned safely in 108 minutes. Four years prior to this, the USSR had launched the first unmanned satellite Sputnik 1 on October 4, 1957, heralding the dawn of the space age.

Doug Martin running back, Doug Martin nickname Muscle Hamster, Doug Martin dislikes muscle hamster---Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie sensation Doug Martin has the worst nickname ever: Muscle Hamster. But don't take our word for it.

"It has to be the worst nickname ever," Martin told NFL AM on Tuesay. "I can't shake it. It started in college, started back in Boise, with our linemen. I have a lot of bigger friends, and they'd call me the Muscle Hamster because of how much I could lift in the weight room."

Randy Moss The Mossiah---You just call me Mossiah is a pretty good one for Randy Moss given the way he elevated the offenses of his teams. AN Unmanned Cargo Ship Collided With Mir Space Station---Mir space station broke up and splashed down in Pacific Ocean 2001, Mir space station troubles, Mir was a space station that operated in low Earth orbit from 1986 to 2001, owned at first by the Soviet Union and then by Russia. Mir was the first modular space station and was assembled in orbit from 1986 to 1996. It had a greater mass than that of any previous spacecraft. It held the record for the largest artificial satellite orbiting the Earth until that record was surpassed by the International Space Station after Mir's deorbit on 21 March 2001. Mir served as a microgravity research laboratory in which crews conducted experiments in biology, human biology, physics, astronomy, meteorology and spacecraft systems in order to develop technologies required for the permanent occupation of space.

December 1988, Designation STS-27, Mission dedicated to Department of Defense. Deployed the Lacrosse 1 satellite, for the US National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Atlantis' Thermal Protection System tiles sustained unusually severe damage during the flight; over 700 damaged tiles were noted, and one tile was missing.

The Space Shuttle Atlantis (Orbiter Vehicle Designation: OV‑104) was a Space Shuttle orbiter belonging to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the spaceflight and space exploration agency of the United States. Atlantis was the fourth operational (and the next-to-the-last) Space Shuttle to be constructed by the Rockwell International company in Southern California, and it was delivered to the John F. Kennedy Space Center in eastern Florida in April 1985. Atlantis was the only orbiter which lacked the ability to draw power from the International Space Station while docked there; it had to continue to provide its own power through fuel cells.

Soyuz 33 Backup Engine Worked and Helped Them Return to Earth---Cosmonaut Georgi Ivanov, Nikolai Rukavishnikov, Salyut 6 space station: Soyuz 33 was a 1979 Soviet manned space flight to the Salyut 6 space station. It was the ninth mission to the orbiting facility, but an engine failure forced the mission to be aborted, and the crew had to return to earth before docking with the station. It was the first-ever failure of a Soyuz engine during orbital operations.

The two-man crew, commander Nikolai Rukavishnikov and Bulgarian cosmonaut Georgi Ivanov, suffered a steep ballistic re-entry, but were safely recovered. The original intention of the mission had been to visit the orbiting crew for about a week and leave a fresh vehicle for the station crew to return to earth in. The mission failure meant that the orbiting Salyut 6 crew lacked a reliable return vehicle as their Soyuz had the same suspect engine as Soyuz 33. A subsequent manned flight was canceled and a vacant craft with a redesigned engine was sent for the crew to use.
